Daniel Berg joined Impilo in 2018. He holds a BA (Hons.) in Economics and Management from University of Oxford.
Prior to joining Impilo, Daniel was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Copenhagen, with focus on strategy and private equity. He also has experience from Goldman Sachs in London
Edvard Hubendick joined Impilo in 2019. After studying one year in the US, Edvard graduated with an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University in 2017 having minored in signal theory and majored in strategy.
Prior to joining Impilo Edvard worked as an associate with McKinsey & Company in Stockholm. Edvard focused roughly half of his time at McKinsey within healthcare and adjacent industries.
Fredrik Strömholm joined Impilo in 2016 and is chairman of the investment committee.
Fredrik graduated with an M.Sc. in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1989, with a major in finance from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France. Fredrik has also studied French, Russian and East European history at the universities of Uppsala and Stockholm. Fredrik is also a graduate of the Swedish Army Language School.
Prior to founding Impilo, Fredrik was a partner at Altor Equity Partners, a firm he co-founded in 2003. 1989-1996 and 1999-2002 Fredrik worked at Goldman Sachs International, the last period as managing director responsible for corporate finance and M&A execution in the Nordic region. 1996-1999 Fredrik worked as an investment manager at Nordic Capital in Stockholm. Fredrik serves on the boards of directors of Ferrosan Medical Devices, NutraQ, Cavidi, Immedica (chairman), Ortic 3D. He has previously served on the boards of Antula Healthcare, Nycomed, ACO Hud, Ferrosan, Palodex, Apotek Hjärtat, and Curato within the healthcare sector and on the boards of AGR, Nimbus, Qmatic, Åkers and Carnegie Investment Bank in other industries. Fredrik is the chairman of Natur and Kultur, a foundation with a large publishing business, treasurer of the Academica Foundation and a board member of Skellefteå AIK Ishockey.
Fredrik Holmström joined Impilo in 2017. Fredrik Holmström graduated with an M.Sc in Finance from the London School of Economics and holds a B.Sc in Economics, Politics and International Relations from the University of Warwick. Fredrik is also a graduate of the Swedish Army Language School.
Prior to joining Impilo, Fredrik was an Investment Executive at XIO Group in London. From 2013 to 2015 Fredrik worked as an analyst in the Nordic M&A team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. While at XIO, Fredrik worked on the investment in Lumenis, an Israeli medtech company.
Gustav Lundgren joined Impilo in 2017. Gustav graduated with a B.Sc. in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in 2012, with a major in finance and accounting. Prior to joining Impilo, Gustav was a partner at ABG Sundal Collier, a Nordic investment bank, where he worked within the investment banking division in Stockholm since graduation in 2012 and became a partner in 2016. While at ABG Sundal Collier he was involved in several transactions in the healthcare sector, including the sale of Solhagagruppen to Ambea, the acquisition of Frösunda Norway by Humana and the initial public offerings of Humana and Oncopeptides.link
Henrik Nielsen joined Impilo in 2021. He holds a M.Sc. in Economics from University of Copenhagen and a B.Sc. in Economics from Aarhus University. During his studies he also did an exchange program at Columbia University.
Prior to joining Impilo, Henrik was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group based in Stockholm and Copenhagen, where he was part of BCG’s Scandinavian Principal Investors and Private Equity team for two years.
Jeanette joined Impilo in October 2017. Prior to Impilo, Jeanette worked as an executive assistant at Ernst & Young for 13 years. Jeanette also worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers and several other organizations in finance and office administration.
Jesper Eliasson joined Impilo in 2016 and is member of the firm’s investment committtee. Jesper has a B.Sc. (Econ.) in Business Administration and Economics, with advanced studies in Finance (Civilekonomexamen) at Stockholm University in 1996.
Prior to founding Impilo, Jesper was CFO at Altor Equity Partners from 2003 to 2016 (and a partner 2012 – 2015). Jesper worked at Industri Kapital (now IK Investment Partners) between 1996 and 2003, both in Stockholm and London.
Magnus Edlund joined Impilo in 2017 and is member of the firm’s investment committee. Magnus graduated with an M.Sc in Industrial Management & Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in 2003.
Prior to joining Impilo, Magnus was a director at Altor Equity Partners where he worked between 2009 and 2017. 2004-2009 Magnus worked at the Boston Consulting Group based in Stockholm and London. He currently serves on the board of Orchid Orthopedic Solutions and with past observer and deputy roles on the boards of Apotek Hjärtat and Rossignol respectively.
Martin Fagerlund joined Impilo in 2019 and is member of the firm’s investment committtee. Martin graduated with a LL.M in Law and a B.B.A in Business Administration and Economics from Stockholm University in 2006.
Prior to joining Impilo, Martin successfully co-founded and managed a boutique business law firm specializing in M&A and investments between 2016 and 2018. Martin also worked as a lawyer at Mannheimer Swartling between 2006 and 2015 (with secondments at Altor Equity Partners and at Ericsson (M&A Department) during one year, respectively).li
Matilda Dieden Bengtsson
Matilda joined Impilo in 2021. She holds a M.Sc. of Finance from Stockholm School of Economics and a B.Sc. in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics.
Prior to joining Impilo, Matilda was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group based in Stockholm. At BCG, she was part of BCG’s Scandinavian Principal Investors & Private Equity team and Healthcare team for 2 years.
Nicholas Hooge joined Impilo in 2020 and is a member of the firm’s investment committee. Nicholas graduated with an M.Sc in Business Administration and Management Science (Cand. Merc. Mat.) from Copenhagen Business School in 2004. During his studies he also did an exchange programme at University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Prior to joining Impilo, Nicholas was a Senior Director at EQT Partners where he worked from 2006 to 2019 based in Copenhagen and New York focusing, respectively, on private equity and infrastructure investments. From 2004-2006 Nicholas worked for Deutsche Bank’s Nordic M&A team in London.
Oskar Steneryd joined Impilo in 2019. Oskar graduated with an M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics in 2009, with a major in Accounting and Finance and with an exchange semester at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France.
Prior to joining Impilo, Oskar spent two years as an Investment Director at Novo Holdings in Copenhagen, focusing on global Healthcare investments, and prior to that Oskar spent seven years at Altor Equity Partners in Stockholm, focusing on Private Equity transactions in the Nordic region. Prior to joining Altor, Oskar worked at Morgan Stanley in the Healthcare Investment Banking team in London.
Oskar has previously served as board deputy on the boards of Envirotainer, NorthStar and One Nordic.
Svitlana Babak joined Impilo in 2017. She holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School and a BA with honours in Economics from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Passau University.
Prior to joining Impilo, Svitlana was an Associate Partner with McKinsey & Company in Denmark, where she worked since 2012 focusing on Life Sciences. 2006-2010 Svitlana was with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Germany and Sony Electronics in Denmark and Austria.
Victor Steien joined Impilo in 2018. Victor graduated with an M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics in 2008, with a major in Finance.
Prior to joining Impilo, Victor spent ten years in Investment Banking – from 2008 to 2014 at Goldman Sachs in London and from 2014 to 2018 at Morgan Stanley as Executive Director in Stockholm – primarily focusing on M&A execution and corporate finance in the Nordic region.
Frederik Zimmer joined Impilo in 2017. Frederik has an MBA from INSEAD and a B.Sc in Finance from the University of Colorado. Before joining Impilo, Frederik was a management consultant for many years, most recently as Partner in the Boston Consulting Group. In 2002 he co-founded Cardo Partner, an Oslo based management consultancy and investment firm. Frederik has also worked for the Lindorff Group as CFO and in Aker/Kværner as an investment analyst. As an advisor, Frederik worked closely with Ferrosan when the company was owned by Altor 2003 Fund, and also served on the board of its subsidiary, Nordic Sales Group AS. Since 2016, Frederik has focused on non-executive directorships and currently serves as chairman for Nerliens Metzansky AS and Sharecat Holding AS.
Henning Søgaard joined Impilo in 2018. Henning has Ms. Sc. degree in Dairy Science and Technology from Copenhagen University and a M. Sc. in Business Finance. Before joining Impilo, Henning was CEO of Orkla Health Group and Orkla Care for 12 years. Henning has also been EVP for Chr. Hansen Ingredients. Has completed more than 10 acquisitions within health care primarily family/private owned. Henning now focusses on non-executive directorships.
He currently serves as chairman at Apoteka and NutraQ. And as a board member at Johannes Fog.
Jens Bager joined Impilo in 2017. Jens has an M.Sc in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School. Before joining Impilo, Jens was the CEO of ALK-Abello for 16 years and prior to that he was an EVP of Chr. Hansen. Since 2016, Jens has focused on non-execcutive directorships and has been Chairman of a number of companies including Ambu A/S and the Grundfos Foundation.
He currently serves as Chairman for Better Collective A/S, Scantox A/S and Marleybones Ltd.
Sören Mellstig co-founded Impilo in 2016 and serves as chairman of Impilo Holding AB. Sören has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Uppsala University. Sören worked at Akzo Nobel and its predecessors 1975-1994 and then at Gambro (initially Incentive) 1994-2006, the last six years as CEO. Since 2006, Sören has focussed on non-executive directorships, to a large extent within the healthcare sector, eg. as chairman of Apotek Hjärtat, Ferrosan Medical Devices, Aleris and Textilia. Sören also serves as chairman of Cellavision (publ), Ellevio and Rkliniken AB.
Thomas Eklund joined Impilo in 2017 and currently serves as a board member for Impilo’s portfolio company Immedica Pharma AB. Thomas serves as an independent advisor, investor and board member in Life Science companies.
Thomas has an MBA from Stockholm School of Economics and was CEO at Investor Growth Capital 2002-2015 and partner at AACP 2000-2002. During the period 1992-2000 Thomas worked at Handelsbanken Corporate Finance within Life Science.
Thomas currently serves as chairman for Immedica Pharma AB, Mabtech AB and Sedana Medical AB. Thomas is a board member of Swedencare AB and Boule Diagnostic AB.
Thomas has been head of investments and board member at Swedish Orphan, Carmel Pharma AB, Entific Medical Systems AB and Vårdapoteket AB.
